GET TO KNOW YOUR TRUSTEES

Angus Campbell

We can assure you that the OMSMAF Board of Trustees is unreservedly committed to ensuring that the Fund always acts with the best interests of its members at heart. This should come as no surprise, considering the unwavering dedication of those individuals who serve as Trustees – such as Angus Campbell, a self-proclaimed “Old Mutual lifer whose blood runs green”.

With over 36 years of experience in employee benefits, all within the Old Mutual fold, Angus is exceptionally qualified to serve on the Board. Just prior to his retirement in August, Angus served as a specialist consultant for the Annuities and Investments Centre of Excellence, where he  covered several focus areas, one of which was key annuity solutions specific to post-retirement medical aid. This gives him particular insight into the tax, legal and accounting impacts in this area. Angus also has experience serving as a MANCO member on the Old Mutual Employee Group in Superfund, which included being on the Expenses Sub-Committee.

As a qualified Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Business Economics and a Certified Financial Planner, Angus started out at Old Mutual as a green shoot, so to speak, working his way through the ranks and scooping up two prestigious awards along the way – the Old Mutual Employee Benefits Executive General Manager Award for his significant contribution to business growth and, more recently, the Leading Sales Award in the Corporate Awards.

Angus’ promise to the members of OMSMAF is to bring energy, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, good interpersonal and technical skills, an uncompromising approach to good governance, and a commitment to representing OMSMAF member interests with focused attention during his retirement.

As parents to two sons and a daughter, Angus and his wife, Bernadette, love spending time with their family, which also includes three grandchildren who keep them on their toes. Angus is an active and passionate sportsman who values the health benefits of physical exercise.

We welcome Angus to the Board of Trustees and look forward to harnessing his skills and experience to the benefit of OMSMAF and its members.
